Brian James Spotlight

"Alabama" from their CD Brian James and the Revival
TGS Spotlight Player from January 16, 2015

RECOMMENDED BY: John Haring, Executive Producer - "Great modern electric blues sound, Brian James should be included in the next wave of brilliant blues guitarists - Won the Nashville Blues Challenge - Next up: the International Blues Challenge in Memphis on January 21, 2015"

BRIAN JAMES hails from Phoenix, Arizona and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bored with pop music, Brian heard Stevie Ray Vaughn and life was not the same for him. At the age of 12, he heard Jonny Lang and that really got his attention. Here was a kid with a guitar and, for Brian, that was just what he needed to see. From then on, nothing else mattered but the music. He picked up the guitar and the rest is history.

After five years with the US Marines, Brian moved to Nashville and started to play around Music City USA. To watch Brian onstage is to be totally enthralled and charmed by him. He is a cross between Jimi Hendrix with a touch of the Allman Brothers mixed right in to bring a performance that is all Brian James. With his soulful voice and electric stage presence, Brian will entertain you in a way that you haven't experienced before and will leave you begging for more. Soft spoken, almost shy offstage, Brian walks on the stage and transforms into an artist to be reckoned with. A SESAC writer and publisher, Brian is an upcoming force in the Blues world.

Brian James and his band 'The Revival' recently won the Nashville Blues Challenge and are on their way to making a serious statement about Blues for the next generation.

Band Members are: Brian James Guitar/Vocals, Stephen Hanner - Harp, Kenny Zarider - Keyboards, Tom DelRossi - Drums, Will Cafaro - Bass
